This house is located in the westward hillside in the Manno Basin, made by the Asan Mountains and Mt. Zouzu. This site in the landform looks like terraced paddy field that can hardly be seen inside from the perimeter.

The lighting from the south to all-rooms is realized by making a wall on the east and opening toward the south, and making a hall with a well in the house. Moreover, by using this hall type plan, the application of rooms is expanded more than the size of the original room because the room can be used like a drawer. In summer, the wind which blows from the east is invited into the house from the crevice between the cliff and the house, and thus coolness has been obtained. Then, the air of the well, warmed by the greenhouse effect on the glass, is sent into each room in winter.
